While parents show great concern for their child’s safety, they may not pay proper attention to the use of a car seat. Perhaps this springs from the idea that a car is a safe environment, a steel room on wheels. Unfortunately, every year children are injured or die when a child seat is used incorrectly or not at all.
This short clip from The Pregnancy Show cites the alarming statistic that more than 95% of car seats are installed incorrectly. The long distances and high speeds traveled in Montana make this particularly relevant.

A correctly installed car seat that is properly fitted to the child offers the best protection. In this first of two parts, Anderson Cooper hosts a CNN expose on how insurance companies try to pressure accident victims into settling for much less than they are entitled to. By not paying reasonable amounts on claims, they force injured parties to retain a lawyer and pursue the matter in court.
The strategy, illustrated by Allstate’s actions, is becoming common in the industry and amounts to using the court system as a way to escape their obligations. Mr. Cooper tells how even with a personal injury attorney, victims may suffer character assassination attempts by insurance companies and use unfair tactics to influence jury awards.
